A Message From Our Founders

Dear reader,

When we started The Luxury Playbook in 2023, we set out to build the kind of publication we ourselves wanted to read. One written for people who already live this life rather than for those being sold a fantasy of it.

That ambition has not changed. But the publication around it has, and we wanted to write to you directly about what comes next.

The website you are reading from today is, in almost every respect, a new one. Over the past months we have rebuilt The Luxury Playbook from the foundations up.

New architecture, new design, a new way of moving between our sections and stories.

It is faster, cleaner, and built to hold the kind of journalism we want to publish over the coming years.

We hope, when you spend time on it, that it feels less like a website and more like a magazine you have picked up and settled into.

Alongside the rebuild, our masthead has grown in ways that genuinely excite us.

A new generation of writers, market practitioners and contributing journalists have joined the editorial team.

Reporters who actually walk the prime markets they cover, from London and Athens to Dubai and New York. Watch and wine writers who collect what they write about. Equities contributors who read the tape every morning before they read the news.

Each name was chosen with care, because we believe that the quality of a publication is, in the end, the quality of the people who write for it.

What this means for you, in practical terms, is a richer and steadier rhythm of work in the period ahead.

Longer reported pieces from the cities and rooms where capital and taste actually meet. Sharper coverage of the markets you follow. More voices, more texture, more of the depth we believe this readership deserves.

We are also returning to a few formats we have been quietly working on behind the scenes, including longer interviews and field notebooks we think you will recognise as ours.

Thank you for staying with us through the build.

Readers like you are the reason this publication exists at all, and the reason the next chapter feels worth writing.

Warmly,

The Founders
The Luxury Playbook
